What do you think?

Hey guys,

Right now EB Games seems to be milking us of money by buying games at super low prices and selling them at really high mark-ups. Here is my proposal:

www.tivs.ca currently shows relatively recent trade-in values for games at five stores: Block Buster, Future Shop, Best Buy, Rogers Plus and EB Games. I propose buying those games from you at the highest price between Block Buster, Future Shop, Best Buy and EB Games, thus "piggybacking" off of tivs.ca prices (hence the name, tivvyback!)

(Note that I did not include Rogers Plus. This is because they seem to mark up the games really high for whatever reason, and Rogers stores seem to be shutting down across the country. Seems like they're going out of business, and don't seem to care about the market value of games).

What I will do then is sell the games at a 15% mark-up, as opposed to the 25%-50% (sometimes more) mark-up that EB games does. Of course this site will likely cater only to Canadians, since Americans seem to get better prices on games, despite our dollar being higher than the US dollar right now.

Does this seem like a viable plan? Lemme know what you think! And hey, make me some offers! The only games I have right now, are the ones in my inventory. I'll get that list up of the games I'm willing to sell soon.

Right now I'm only willing to do locally (Calgary).
